FAQ

Book of Ra Buy Bonus: What the Studio Will Not Confirm

In short: We cannot confirm a bonus buy for Book of Ra, because Greentube publishes no rules, no feature list and no demo for it. Three other Book titles do sell one, and two of the three publish a price.

Around 700 searches a month ask whether you can buy the bonus in this game, and another 800 ask it in variations, 350 of them naming a later version. The honest answer is that nobody who would know has said. Greentube publishes no rules document, no feature list and no demo for Book of Ra, and its gaming server refused our anonymous session. Meanwhile three other Book titles do sell a bonus, and we read two of those prices off the studios' own clients.

Why This Question Has No First-Party Answer

Greentube publishes no return, no ceiling and no rules document for this title. The Key Data table on its game page is closed with «Client login for more data». What it does publish is a Key Features list, and the only feature on it is the free games with the expanding symbol. No purchase appears there. That is weaker than a rules document and we mark it as such, but it is first-party and it points one way. Triple Edge Studios holds no page for Book of Oz either, but a 2018 launch release does exist for that one.

We also traced the demo that aggregators offer. It launches through the studio's own gaming server, and an anonymous request to that server returns 401 Unauthorized, because sessions are issued to licensed operators. So there is no supported way to open the game and look.

Other Book Slots Do Charge for It

Three titles in this catalogue do sell their bonus: Book of the Fallen, Book of Tut Megaways and Book of Shadows. The first two price it at 100x, Fallen on the total bet and Tut on the base bet; Nolimit City publishes no price for Shadows at all. Both published prices we read off the studios' own clients at the bet each opened on. For Shadows there is no price to read: the studio's game page names the Bonus Buy and stops, and its client never opened for us.

Figures current as of ; the operator's live terms prevail.

Four titles sell nothing at all: Book of Dead, Book of 99, Book of Gold: Classic and Book of Ra Deluxe. Book of Oz is a fifth kind of case — it sells a paid respin of one reel rather than a round. Playson's own sibling title, Book of Gold: Multichance, does sell a round for 100x — we opened that client too, though the game is not covered here. Two names one word apart, one with a purchase and one without, is exactly the difference a catalogue flattens.

An Ante Is Not a Bonus Buy

A bonus buy is one payment that starts the feature. An ante is a raised stake charged on every spin, which on one title here improves the chance of reaching the feature and on another turns every spin into a feature spin; the two get merged with the buy constantly.

The prices are not comparable either. Pragmatic Play charges 10x the bet per spin for the ante on Book of the Fallen and 1.25x on Book of Tut Megaways. Same studio, same month we tested — and the cheaper one buys less: a raised chance rather than a guaranteed feature spin. Treating "buy the bonus" as one product across a genre produces numbers that are wrong by an order of magnitude.

There is a second trap inside the ante on Book of the Fallen, and the client states it plainly. With the ante running, symbol wins pay according to the base bet rather than the raised one. You pay more per spin and the payout table does not move with you.

The Document That Would Settle It

Any one of three things would settle the question. A rules document from Greentube, a studio demo we could open, or a licensed operator publishing the feature list for the version it runs.

For the Deluxe version the third exists: an archived Grosvenor Casinos page lists its features and offers no purchase among them. For the original, none of the three exists as far as we could check. Until one does, this page says unconfirmed rather than guessing, and that is the whole answer.

Key Terms Used on This Page

Bonus buy
A single payment that starts the feature round immediately; the two titles here that publish a price both charge 100x, one of the total bet and one of the base bet, and a third sells one without a price.
Ante bet
A raised stake paid on every spin, charged continuously rather than once; what it buys differs by game — a better chance on one title here, a guaranteed feature spin on another.
Unconfirmed
Our label for a figure no studio document, client or operator page states — used here rather than a plausible guess.
401 Unauthorized
The refusal returned by Greentube's gaming server to an anonymous demo request.

Deposits and identity checks stay on the operator's own secure site.

What Else Do Readers Ask?

Can you buy the bonus in Book of Ra?

Unconfirmed. Greentube publishes no rules, no feature list and no demo for the game, so there is no first-party source either way.

Why can't this be answered from the game itself?

The studio's demo is issued only through licensed casinos; an anonymous request to its gaming server returns 401 Unauthorized.

Do other Book slots have a bonus buy?

Yes, three of them. Book of the Fallen charges 100x the total bet, Book of Tut Megaways 100x the base bet, and Book of Shadows sells one without publishing a price.

Is an ante bet the same as buying the bonus?

No. An ante is charged on every spin and raises the chance or the mode of that spin; a buy is a single payment that starts the round.

How much does an ante cost?

The two antes in this catalogue are not the same product: 1.25x the bet on Book of Tut Megaways buys a raised chance of the feature, 10x on Book of the Fallen turns every spin into a feature spin with a symbol you preselect.

Which Book slots have no purchase at all?

Four of them: Book of Dead, Book of 99, Book of Gold: Classic, whose client has no buy button while its sibling Multichance does, and Book of Ra Deluxe on the word of a casino's feature list.

Does a paid mode change the return?

It can, and the figures sometimes come per mode — an archived casino page of gives 96.31% for Book of Oz in the base game and 96.50% in its paid respin mode.

What should I do if a site states a price for Book of Ra?

Treat it as unsourced unless it names a document or an operator page, because the studio publishes neither.
