Book of Ra Deluxe: Slot Two Casinos Price Differently

In short — our verdict: 4.8/10 — Two UK casinos run this exact title and publish different returns for it: Admiral prints 92.13%, Grosvenor prints 94.26%. The studio publishes no return at all — only a game type and a volatility band — so the version you get is decided by your casino and disclosed only there.

The same game, the same artwork, two licensed casinos — and a 2.13-point gap in what they say it returns. Admiral Casino UK publishes 92.13% for Book of Ra Deluxe; Grosvenor Casinos publishes 94.26%. Greentube publishes neither figure: its own game page prints a volatility band and closes the table that would hold the return behind an operator login. The house edge differs by more than a third depending on where you open it. Only the casino's own published figure tells you which one you are on.

Book of Ra Deluxe Strengths and Weaknesses

Pros: What Works Well

  • Pro: Two licensed casinos publish a return for this title, which makes it checkable in a way the original Book of Ra is not
  • Pro: Admiral Casino also publishes the ceiling as x5010 and the bet range as £0.10 to £5
  • Pro: Both figures come from UK-licensed operators rather than from a catalogue: one from a live page, one from a dated archive of one

Cons: What Holds It Back

  • Con: The two published returns differ by 2.13 points — 92.13% against 94.26% — for the same game under the same name
  • Con: The lower figure is published by Admiral, a Novomatic-owned brand, which is to say the lower of the two configurations we found is running inside the group that makes the game
  • Con: Greentube itself publishes a volatility band and nothing a reader can check. The return, the licence number and the certificate sit behind "Client login for more data" on its own game page, and the demo button there is hidden from anyone not logged in
  • Con: No percentage we found comes from the studio — every return here is an operator's own, and we could not open the client to check what it prints
What we tried: We read Admiral Casino's own game page for this title on 7 October 2026. It publishes a compact information block: a 92.13% return, a max win multiplier of x5010, a £0.10 to £5 bet range, five reels and ten paylines. Greentube is named as the provider. It also carries a caution of its own: "The specific game rules have changed, please see the paytable for full information." Grosvenor's page is geo-blocked from us and returns 403 to both a browser and a direct request. We read its archived copy from 6 August 2025 instead, which states "Theoretical RTP = 94.26%". Where a figure comes from an archive rather than a live page, we say so and date it.

Two Casinos, One Game, Two Returns

Admiral Casino UK publishes 92.13% for Book of Ra Deluxe. Grosvenor Casinos publishes 94.26% for the same title. Both hold UK licences, both are required to disclose the return of the game they run, and both did.

Turned into what the house keeps, the gap stops looking small: 7.87% against 5.74%, which is more than a third more per stake. On £100 wagered through the game that is £7.87 expected to go, against £5.74.

The Lowest Figure Comes from the Maker's Own Brand

Admiral is a Novomatic brand, and Greentube is Novomatic's online arm. The lowest published configuration we found is therefore running at a casino inside the studio's own group.

We are not claiming any rule was broken; operators are allowed to run different return configurations of the same game. It is worth stating plainly because it undercuts the intuition that the maker's own casino would run the friendliest build.

Why the Studio's Silence Matters Here

Where a studio publishes the full list of its RTP configurations, a reader can hold a casino to it. Play'n GO does exactly that for Book of Dead. Five builds sit in one public table with the default marked, so an operator's figure can be checked against it.

Greentube publishes no such table for a reader. Its own game page has a Key Data block built for exactly these fields — licence number, Game ID, return, bet limits, maximum exposure, certificate — and prints "Client login for more data" in place of the values. The operator figure is therefore the first and last word, and if two operators disagree there is nothing above them to appeal to.

The Mechanics Come from the Casino Too

Greentube's own game page gives the trigger — «land 3 or more ‘Book of Ra’ symbols anywhere on the reels to trigger 10 Free Spins» — and says a special symbol is selected at random before the feature begins. What only the casino publishes is what that symbol is worth: the archived Grosvenor Casinos page, the same one that gives 94.26% and the ceiling, adds that if it lands two, three, four or five times its value is multiplied by the paylines.

During those spins the chosen symbol pays on its own terms. If it lands two, three, four or five times, the page says its value is multiplied by the paylines, and that the value itself depends on the symbol and the stake. The same page describes a Gamble button that appears on any win of at least two adjacent symbols starting from the left, and offers to double it.

There is no paid feature of any kind. Nothing here is a purchase, an ante or a bonus buy, and the only way into the free games is the scatter trigger. Every figure and every rule described above comes from an operator's page rather than a studio document — the absence of a paid feature included, because nothing upstream of the operator says anything at all.

What the Deluxe Ceiling Looks Like

Admiral publishes the ceiling as x5010, which is an oddly specific number and reads like a figure from the maths rather than a marketing round-up. Grosvenor's archived page publishes a ceiling too, and it does not line up: "Max win: 5000x line bet". A multiple of the LINE bet is not a multiple of the total. So the two casinos disagree about the ceiling as well as the return, and about the stake range on top of that — and in units a reader has to convert before the two numbers can even be compared.

That difference in units is familiar from Book of Dead, where the client prints 250,000 coins and the multiplier has to be derived. Here both figures are multipliers and they still do not compare: one multiplies the total stake, the other a single line, so the same game reads as x5010 at one casino and 5000x at the other.

How to Check Before You Deposit

Open the game information the casino you intend to use publishes and read the return there. In several markets the operator is required to state it, which is exactly how both figures above were read.

If the panel is silent, treat that silence as the answer. We do not recommend taking a catalogue's percentage for this title. Eight different returns are published for this family by operator pages, and not one by a studio document. Secondary catalogues circulate four values and name no source; one repeats Grosvenor's 94.26% and another the 95.03% it publishes for Deluxe 6, which is why this site does not use them.

Our Book of Ra Deluxe Verdict and Rating

Verdict: Book of Ra Deluxe scores 4.8 out of 10, and the paperwork is what holds it there rather than anything we could see in the game: we never opened it. Two licensed casinos publish returns 2.13 points apart for the same title, and the lower one sits inside the studio's own group. Greentube publishes nothing that would let you argue with either. Read the return in your casino's own game panel before you play. If you want a Book title where the maker publishes the full list of RTP configurations, Book of Dead does it in one table.

Key Terms Used on This Page

RTP configuration
One of several published return configurations of the same game; the operator picks which runs.
House edge
What the casino keeps over the long run — 7.87% at 92.13%, 5.74% at 94.26%.
Geo-block
A refusal based on where the request comes from; Grosvenor's live pages return 403 to us, so we read an archived copy.
Max win multiplier
The ceiling expressed as a multiple of a bet — and which bet is the question, because one casino multiplies the total stake and the other a single line.

Deposits and identity checks stay on the operator's own secure site.

What Else Do Readers Ask?

The questions here are about which version you get, not about how the game plays.

What is the RTP of Book of Ra Deluxe?

The casino decides. Admiral Casino UK publishes 92.13% on its live page, an archived Grosvenor Casinos page gives 94.26%, and Greentube itself publishes none, keeping the figure behind an operator login on its own game page.

Why do two casinos show different returns?

Two UK casinos published different returns for it: 92.13% on a live page in October 2026 and 94.26% in an archive of August 2025. Greentube publishes no list of configurations, so we cannot say whether both run today or whether one figure is simply older.

What is the maximum win?

The two casinos disagree here too: Admiral Casino publishes x5010, Grosvenor lists 5000x the line bet, and Greentube publishes no ceiling at all.

Can I tell which version I am playing?

Only from the casino's own information panel. Greentube serves no demo that opened for us, so we cannot say what the game client itself prints.

How do we handle a game with no studio document?

We look for a studio document first; where there is none, we read operators that must publish a return and name each one beside its figure.
